i dunno what dictates the lifetime of vehicles. but im sure their lifetime has no limit, unless the engine gets ruined.
only spawned-in vehicles with admin tools and modded cars might despawn. there u gotta increase their lifetime.
Ah is that the difference? Makes sense now that I think about it. I haven't really messed with cars in a pretty long time. But yeah I remember having the same issue way back, so I must have been spawning them in when testing stuff. Had the same issue when buying them via vendors on a community server earlier this (er last...) year, nets were the only way to have them stick around. Also explains why they always stay on official servers if still functional heh..
u wot, the vanilla despawn time for a not ruined car is literally infinity. they literally never despawn in vanilla
Yeah, as followed up in the next comments, I got mixed up with cars spawned in via admin tools..
So OP, just needs to do that if spawning them in manually.
