Bad FPS on good pc
I have a 3070 rtx, 16 gbs of RAM, and a AMD Ryzen 9 3900x 12-core processor. I'm getting 20-30 fps in dayz on lowest graphics.
Edit: IT WORKED, ITS FIXED. Thank you all for your support and help!

Yes, its set up correctly. I forgot to mention but I played dayz before and my fps was fine. I tried putting my fps on the lowest graphic settings possible but fps was still low.

any new updates? something in the background possibly eating up some of that ?

one thing i know is this game does not like overlays, just trying to get my geforce experience overlay up crashes the game a few minutes later. (try run a game without any overlay hooked in) having said that i would monitor how hot the pc runs though to make sure its not thermal throttling.

also with modern videocards it can often be as simple as turning things like DLSS or just use regular vsync with tripple buffering.

Uhh not really. It's 6+ years old game and runs smoothly most of the time until some performance destroying bug hits.

Technically the game runs on a newer, three year-old engine. Nevertheless, the game's performance might dip with certain overlays.

That is odd, you should be getting consistently over 100fps ultra @1440p with those specs

change from windowed mode to fullscreen in the video settings, i get choppy performance too if that isn´t set

I am glad you said this because you know it is possible to run right on your pc.

That being said... Something is wrong on your side. I run a capped 60 FPS. 8 core ryzen 32 gigs ram... BUT my vid card is am old 750ti as my main broke. Other then ram your system is better then mine.

Do the basics first, check GPU drivers for updates, check on background programs, restart/reset modem/router.

I get better fps with an rx560 gpu. Was there ever time you had high stable fps? I find reverse troubleshooting helps. Maybe even roll back to an earlier GPU update, not like it makes much difference half the tine

Nvidia control panel - Manage 3d Settings - Global tab - scroll down and change power management mode to prefer max performance.

This reverts back to 'optimal power mode' on me occasionally during driver updates and on certain games it makes a difference - worth a quick check.

Ill turn off my overlays

I tried switching it to all the other display modes and it had no affect
