It's something that many have experienced and there is no direct resolution or at least i haven't found any. Hence putting this topic here to BUMP the problem. In my case it started two days ago. Out of thin air - no new mods were installed or anything. Just playing as usual and relogging only to get kicked to the menu by authplayerloginstate error. It's stopping me from loading any server really. There is one silly workaround i've devised to counter this bug or whatever it is. One needs to turn off the game, turn it back on, get kicked to the menu, try loading it again and ALT+TAB to the desktop seconds later. Few seconds later one needs to bring the game back on the screen and magically logging countdown will happen. Very crude method and completely useless when server has any queue going on. I'm not using any VPN and no verification helps.

[added later] a new solution was discovered. Turning off additional overlays and applications before logging in will make this whole problem disappear. In my case its discord which i need to turn off before logging in. But it can be other applications as well. You can turn on those apps after logging but not before. Bohemia knows about that issue. They're the ones who created it.

It could be a bug in an existing mod due to recent updates.
As always, check/update drivers etc...

It has nothing to do with game files, settings, mods or drivers - 100%. It may have something to do with steam cause there are times when my trick is not working. To make it working i need to turn off steam and turn it back on. Like i've said this issue just happen out of thin air. I was hoping it will also go away by itself but like usual dayz bug is dayz bug. Currently can't log to any server - be it vanilla or modded. Not without tricks at least.

Yeah on our server multiple people from all over the world started to have that error. Outside of my trick nothing works. It seems its some kind of a micro update but who knows since not everyone is involved in it. Its a problem that will probably progress.

Turning off unnecessary applications before starting game is the way to log in without any problems - even on queues. Especially discord - one need to turn it off before each logging.

has anyone come up with a proper fix for it? i have a friend that cant even play the game now because of it, modded or offical servers.

other than turning off discord and alike before logging in its a waiting game. Bohemia knows about this issue - it was posted on their feedback thingy.

hey man thanks! so turning off discord is a sure fix before logging in and playing? and if so does it let you use discord again after getting in? or will it re-boot you?

Yeah, you can turn discord on after logging in or even during logging in (countdown). But not before. It takes couple moments so its probably the best solution available so far. And don't thank me - i found that information here on steam. Just reposting it after testing.

Then try with other applications. All game needs to run (other than internet of course) is the launcher.

Same goes for overlays. Currently only steam overlay works with "DayZ" without any noticable problems.

It has nothing to do with mods, veryfing files, settings or app data - reinstalling equals wasting time. It happened along with mini patch Bohemia forced on people. Its IN the game, probably not on client side. Check what kind of programs you have opened when launching game. Any applications and overlays - not only discord. Steam works fine as well as nvidia.
