Why is there no option to filter out modded servers?

also tricky! try ARMA 3!! Problem is it looks at Dayz severs as any other server hence the Custom made DayzSAlauncher works better!! Google it.
Good Luck!

The modded tag could be added to the tags of the steam query... but it isnt... not yet.

DZSA launcher knows by having the server host use a custom software to open a TCP netserver hosting a list of the mods. This is OVERLY too complicated, a simple UDP query would do a lot better and orevent ddossing, but whatever. Anyways, if the host is not using the 3rd party software, even the DZSA client wouldnt know its modded.

Agree the DayzSA Launcher does require its own software server side, but still it works and allows the server to dish out the exact mods and files from itself. meaning no miss matches.

Files are not synced in DZSA unfortunately. It just gives out the modname and workshop ID. No timestamp is provided for the files either, so mismatches are very much possible if the host doesnt update their mods

There is a way; in the Dayz Launcher select Community, then select "public", apply filter and only Vanilla servers will come up.
