Is MKII popular now?
Haven't seen any this patch on a populated server when before they where common, i assume now they are useful and zombies finnally have some threat people are picking them up. so my question is do you use a MKII or do you use other weapons, personally im sticking with my IJ-70 suppressed as its a nice little 4 slot pistol with common subsonic ammo, i assume the FNX45 is probably the best as its subsonic, has a 15rd mag and can take a mini sight but i havent seen any this patch ether.

I can confirm that all you mentioned are still in game but the main reason that the mk2 is popular now is due to the update on suppressed weapons and the fact that they don’t attract infected as much as they used to,
If your lucky enough to get something suppressed it makes life a lot easier when taking down infected.
If you have ammo of course :)

well before the current update the MKii was still the queitest gun but it needed to two tape to kill a zombie with a headshot so nobody ever took it in my experience

I think you will be better off with the pistol you have tbh,I was lucky enough to find a scorpion on my current run and a suppressor and it’s one shot kills to the head, and as you said the ammo is common 👍

I use any pistol i find.
MkII is the primary zombie dispatch gun unless i find a IJ-70 with a suppressor.
I usually run around with 2-3 pistols, the 3rd is either a .357, 9mm or .45 non zombie threats. Then depending on ammo availability i dump one later on.
Nothing beats the MKII now since it also produces so little noise. Well it was good too back then but needing to double tap infected at any range kinda made it useless since you effectively only carried 25 shots so o you could just as well carry a suppressed .380 that had more potential ammo damage for 35 rounds compared to 50, a slightly bigger magazine and was also better against other threats in a pinch.

I found a MK II last night, I attempted to kill a Zee locked in the cell at a
Police station... A WHOLE mag of head shots and it was still walking...
As a weapon it is utterly useless.. Quiet or not..

huh?
I thought they buffed the MK II a bit so you can oneshot Zeds...

my favorite Zed dispatcher is still a silenced UMP, though.

Nah, it WAS a cool gun for quiet takedowns and will still maybe? work
on players.. But for Zee's it was just hopeless.
At the start i like to run an SKS with a Bottle.. The main reason is, they are
fairly easy to find, don't require a mag and the ammo, basically AK ammo
is easy to find at the start of the game. It WILL still 1 shot a Zee..:lunar2019grinningpig:

I bet you can't even headshot one at close range with buckshot.
Modded server with stronger zombies perhaps or did it have a helmet?

They did. You can one hit headshot them up to 15m.

@Enforcer, Why do you always have to be a ♥♥♥♥?
I can only say what happend, it was vanilla as i would not bother with
it on a modded server as there are way better options.
Maybe it was a bug? I was shooting through the barred cell door.
I SAW the impact of each round and none missed, i have shot through
cell doors and house windows with no issues in the past.
It is reasonable to think it an update thing.

Because when i see BS or exaggerations i just can't overlook it. So i either think the poster is stupid or stupid enough to exaggerate even though they know better and treat them accordingly.
It could have been desync to everything else.
I also had a situation where i shot 2 infected with one bullet. One fell immediately the other one kept moving them lept forward to land on it's face. If you noticed distance shots don't register immediately, sometimes it takes a second. I don't understand why it works that, way but we all know the engine isn't the best and since everything happens in real time and also depends on the internet connection lag can happen. The target might not even be where the client thinks it was.

Well it was neither BS OR Exaggeration. But, seeing some of the posts in
this forum i can understand your point.
Yeah, more than possible it was a desync. Personally i only tried it when asked
by a teammate if it still worked.
Personally i roll with a rifle by choice, i have invested nearly 2k hours in the game
and now i feel i approach "competent" level... Ah well... 3k more to expert and
another 10k to get to LEGEND.. Ha ha.

The MKII is fantastic as a zombie killer and it's worth it for that alone to me. I was running around Esseker abit, worried about aggro'ing zombies in a military location, but figured I'd test out the MKII on them and was able to take all the zombies out with single headshots to move around. Now that zombies are extra frustrating to fight with being more dangerous, while also being super broken still, I'm actually gonna look forward to finding one.

I'm curious though, would an MKII with a built in suppressor last longer than any other pistol with a silencer? I'm not sure how long pistol suppressors last on their own, but if the MKII lasts longer, that could also be another thing in its favor.

even if a MKII lasts as long as say a IJ70 with a suppressor you only gotta repair the MKII when its damaged where as you have to maintain both the IJ and suppressor making it more economical alongside the large ammo amounts you can carry in a stack for the MKII, you can only carry 35 .380 vs 50 22lr in a stack which assuming each shot is a kill thats 50 zombies a stack vs 35.
