Voice chat is not working

So in my mic settings, on steam, and in discord my mic works perfectly fine like nothing is wrong right? However, when I go into dayz, voice chat just does not work. The crazy thing is that it worked perfectly fine like a month ago! I cannot figure out why this is an issue, please help <3

I had a prob. the other day. I got mic working for discord, and in game, but in doing so, I lost the game sounds, But not the voices of people in the game.

My pc, has 3rd party software used to run my game sounds and recordings. Its just a realtec control panel. anyways, It needed an update, got it, and I had to redo the sound set-up. (Plug speaker/headeset in, then mic) and it seemed to fix it all up.

in the bloody nightmare server, but i dont think it would be the server because everyone else can talk and my vc worked in other servers so i dont see the issue man

press the UP arrow. when you goto speak. up and down control the volume of you speaking, for all you know, youve either been whispering, or screaming in peoples ears

I connected my laptopt's headphones jack to my gaming PC's mic jack and started blasting music in DayZ with my voice chat. But after an hour or two of playing like that people suddenly stopped hearing me. I checked with windows voice recorder - my scheme still worked, nothing happened, my mic input worked for everything but DayZ. I unplugged the aux cord and plugged in my mic that i know works, and it wasnt working in game. Dont know what happened, havent solved this problem yet.

Windows 10 updates sometimes changes your settings. Go into sound and check your mic . It fixed mine, after I played several hours and wondered why no one would answer me. :)

Yep i got bit by the update as well and had to re set all my audio settings.

Nah its something else. I think its an old arma bug, in arma i had trouble with mic and audio after alt tabbing. The thing is i was like starting native voice recorder app and it recorded my mic input just fine, but in the game the mic input wasnt working. I think it breaks after i alt tab out of the game or after some other program hijacks the mic input
