Pioneer rifle

Found one in a barrel, in a shed, in the woods... random spot for such a find, but I'll take it.

I understand it's pretty new, but good? I ditch my CR-5xx something, which is a larger caliber, for it. I have more rounds for the Pioneer so I figured that was reason enough (plus it's suppressed).

Also, is there a friendly discord or something where I can chat or post? I feel like I'm spamming this forum lol

official servers dont have discords.
most but not all private servers have discords.

The Dayz official Discord is garbage so it's better to post here or on the Discord of the server you are playing.

A suppressed Pioneer seems like it would be great with 1.12 - silently take out all the zombies from a distance.

I still have not got hold of one despite weeks of playing. Have had multiple FALs, SVALs, all AKs etc on various servers in that time so the spawn rates for them is super low.

Just checked it and its has max/min rate of 5/2. So 5 max on a server - for comparison the M4 is 10/7. So it's one of the rarest weapons in the game which doesn't make any sense for a mid-tier weapon. So hang onto it!

If you found it IN a barrel, then someone probably stashed it there, in over 1600hrs
over half on vanilla i have never seen anything "spawn" in a container on a vanilla
server.
As far as "spamming" the forum goes, given you are polite and respectful,
i see no issues with you asking as many questions as you like.

Pioneer is good.
Bullet speed is faster and the trajectory is flatter. The best scope you can put on it is the ACOG but that's more than enough for it's intended purpose. It's not a long range but more an intermediate range rifle good for up to 600m.

I found it with a silencer and a red dot type sight. Pretty good find imo. I have a decent amount of ammo for it, but sadly only one mag lol

Yup and I'm envious. Especially with a supressor.

(For completionists - there is another variant which spawns on prison island (if on Chenarus) with a max of 2 so technically it has a max of 7 so still super rare.)

Found 2 over the weekend - both on Prison Island. Seems to be the most reliable spawn if you're looking for one. It's my new favorite gun.
