shipping containers
Fandom says that the cargo containers marked "CEARO" are openable, but i can't find any clickable open prompt, or F prompt (I am on PC). Does anyone know if Shipping Containers (found at the beach in a shipping yard with a big crane, for example) are openable?

If they are, is there a tool required?

containers are openable (F to open) and no tool required if the don't have those white crossbars on the doors - in that case they're locked.

really?

I have F'd those containers in every way possible. I can't imagine anything being more F'd than those containers I have been F'ing.

There is no pop-up that says F to open or anything, like with regular doors, so I am just F'ing them like mad without invitation.

Frankly, i am exhausted by all this F'ing. Feel like either I, or the containers, need a cigarette.

lol, I guess sometimes the sweet spot is hard to hit - you gotta handle this game like a ♥♥♥♥♥ who's swiftly taking offence and all this mad F'ing will get you nowhere :steammocking:

seriously, man, I wonder if this game is the right for you but you'll face a steep learning curve for sure if you already fail at this point...

Some containers open some do not. It is easy to see the diff once you know what to look for. I would say 80% can not open. So maybe just a bad luck thing that ur finding the locked containers.

Yeah and u can sometimes get a decent scope or whatever from them. If I am on the coast and see Mil. Cont. I always loot JIC.

can you imagine if loot was so randomized, you could fine like a M4 in a random container?
Would give you motivation to loot everything in the world.

I've lost count of how many times I've ducked into a container and shut the doors to escape zeds or players. Never a problem leaving unless they were waiting for me lol.

Now if you combat logged when hiding in a container then it was likely the DayZ gods that trapped you in there.
