Are battery chargers broken?

I've been trying to charge my car battery's but everything I do doesn't work. Looked up some tutorials and comments are saying it doesn't work for them this patch either. So are they just broken completely this time?

Yeah, I guess so. I ran into this as well yesterday. For that matter cars have despawned on me 3 times already.

My cars are in range of a Flag so I don't know if that is helping but otherwise haven't had that problem myself.

I have had a car despawn on me once but car batteries have charged fine with the charger. 2 charges back to back with 2 different batteries. Guess I'm just one of the lucky ones

I had a problem charging indoors. Took the setup outside and it worked perfectly.

Got generator running, attached charger, attached battery... Turned on generator, turned on charger, watched battery charge, changed battery, changed another battery. Now I have 3 fully charged batteries. Works fine. Takes several mins to charge.

check health status of battery. if is it worn then maybe won't charge. pristine battery charged w/o problems

i don't know.. maybe is battery after my crash in car, don't remember
I have four batteries, 3 pristine - charge fine. and 1 worn - can't charge of any of 3 chargers

I was able to charge car batteries ok but not truck battery. Tried several times in differing configs.

yes, truck battery won't charge. i think it is bug

From my own experience it is easy to not realize the battery charger must be Turned On for the car battery to charge. I just accidently passed my crosshair over the charger and got the Turn On prompt. No telling how long I would have messed around if I hadn't seen it.

After today's small update I can charge truck batteries. I also noticed they seemed to make batteries a bit more common as loot.

No change in types here, batterie spawnvalues are the same like before?

This on a vanilla CLE private server. I looted 5 car batteries in that farm shed group between Muratyn and Adamow. I also found batteries in places/positions I've never seen them before.
