unloading rounds

How do I unload an double barrel shotgun, internal magazine equipped gun or the 1 round in a chambered gun? I'm playing on PC, 1.11.

X is to change the fire mode although I am unsure of what you are asking. Tap R to unload a round.

im not really sure what you mean but if you press r it loads one shell and if you hold R it loads multiple, i may be wrong but i think its the same for unloading

I was tapping and holding but it appears I needed to double tap r to unload. If I'm dropping a Repeater .357 but I want to keep the ammo loaded in the Repeater for the Deagle. Thank you.
