my advice, learn the map and don't bury stuff near landmarks like bridges.
You can use 3rd party maps like I Zurvive to mark there locations if
you are playing a vanilla server. I rarely build bases myself and have
dozens of stashes. If placed near landmarks they get robbed, in remote
Locations i generally only loose them to "wipes". Occasionally, pure
dumb luck will play a part and someone will stumble on a remote one
but not very often.
99% of hackers either kill other players or "grief" bases. Generally they
don't care about loot as they can spawn in what they want. Why would
they raid stashes?

Yes, there unfortunately are overwrites to see everything in a certain radius around the player, works much like the admin vpp tool I recon.
