Which disease in Africa cause symptoms like this again?
Thats believable, army dropping gas on infected.
I always thought we were years after the collapse of society though so its a bit odd it would last so long.... although i have no idea the lifespan of mustard gas im guessing it disperses over time.
I guess if there is a gas that could potentially last years my brain could accept that as the explination :)
Theres no way Chernarus is an infected "zone" if the military exist to the level they routinely launch artillery salvos.
This whole zone idea is wacky, I dont think they have thought it through at all if they are using it that way.
What i understood about Dayz lore...
Its years after a global catastrophe and only a few people have survived. We the survivors are immune to the infection.
Now we are just in a zone? And the army still exists? Sending arty salvos into the zone every now and then?
Dont like that, dont like it at all :(
About a minute later you hear artillery fire.
Another 20 or so seconds later if you are near or in the target zone you hear the shells screetch as they are incoming.
Then there is an airburst and the yellow settles down onto the target zone.
I defo dont like it, changes the whole idea of what i thought the game was. Not the mechanic itself, just this implimentation dosent make any sense to me.
A form of sickness from the dead body piles would have been more fitting imo, the festering pile of corpses making you sick.. or maybe old ordinance accidently detonating at mil bases... something like that. Anything that fits with the global collapse of society.
Infected zone the military bombard... nah. I feel like if the military still existed they could clear chernarus in a matter of days. We would hear radio transmissions, see planes flying over etc etc... more signs of life outside the "zone" :(
PS Maybe they will add stuff like that to build on this. But yeah for me it just ruins what i thought the premise was.
That would have been one of the "mod of a mod" versions, maybe Epoch or Overwatch?
