When i was a newbie i lost count of the times i "raged" over finding
nothing but flatcaps and capri pants while looting along the coast.
I didn't even know about apples and pears. Thanks to this community
i was able to blow off some salt and get the help i needed to evolve.
Man, that seem like such a long time ago..

Yeah man. I remember playing when it first came out. What a clunky game it was. I got hooked pretty fast though. I had never played the Arma games for reference, but I knew it was a something unique. I convinced my friend to buy it based on my own fun shenanigans, and we tried to find each other in-game for hours on the coast, even though we ended up at the same location, so we figured it was broken in some way. Only later did i realize that we were on different servers, but back then you couldn't even chose which server you played on, it just threw you into random ones. Sadly he stopped playing a few days later as a result since we couldn't "co-op" it :(

I played for a bit longer myself, but stopped until coming back about a year ago. I can barely remember the old engine. But watching videos from around 2013 today, the game looks so primitive lol.

So far it's the one game I've put close to 2k hours on PC (apart from mmos *cough cough*). Just when I think I'm probably done with it, a new map comes out, or another gets updated keeping me hooked.. The game has a lot to offer if you get past certain hurdles. But blowing off the salt as you mention is part of the process that a lot of people don't get past that it seems, sadly..

On the subject of venting:

I will also say this to red-motorcycle-helmet-wearing POS who killed me tonight outside the fire station in Electrozavodsk:

I had the drop on you, buttock-muncher, with my scorpion. I would never have thought someone so retarded as to draw on someone in that situation. I shouldn't have said hi.

So, well, that's it isn't it? Countless souls will die because you have driven all compassion from me.

i suppose that is marginally better than a salty princess...
