Base game or DayZ Livonia Edition?

Hello guys. I've been wanting to buy DayZ for a while and now I'm finally taking plunge. BUT as the title asks, should I buy the DayZ Livonia Edition or is the base game good enough to start with?

I'm a solo player.

livonia is more countryside... i think the main thing you will need to work out is the type of server you want to play.... I am liking the dayone livonia servers or dayone chenarus as the loot economy and the "no bases" rule on server give way to some great interactions with random players..(i am not affiliated with the dayone servers).. pends on your playstyle as to what will suit you...have fun and remember... dont get overly attached to your gear and you will have a good time

Thank you! So I guess I'll start with the base game and then grab the dlc later. I just want to explore, maybe make friends, definitely get killed, but overall I just want to see where the game takes me.
