maybe loot in general has become scarcer but you should at least have found your common pistol, shotty, MP5 or SKS.
just don't expect to find higher tier weapons on your first go.
also the loot timers have been prolonged...if NWAF was empty just move on, loot cycling doesn't work anymore.
Loot a town, summer camps, visit castles. All you need is a decent long range and a shotgun.
Also with the CLE changes you are better off finding good weapons in random locations, my last character found a Saiga and mags in random houses in towns and clothes dumped in the wilderness. Beelining on military areas doesn't pay off anymore, adds more variation to the gameplay and makes high end weapons (rightfully) harder to find IMO.
All of these loot runs were done at different days to give a chance for loot to refresh.
I also looted stuff like Stary Sobor while going up north.
The loot system in this game is just utter trash.
I made this screenshot with this exact issue in mind - it is possible to thrive but it takes patience

Though I think they need to do something about the loot situation at present as it is making it too hard and will put off new players from continuing to play the game
there are no weapons to get, its a terrible system, i have quite literally never experienced such a bad design decision in a game. it is like making an MMO where you can capture the raid bosses and place them in your guildhall until you feel like fighting the boss again, and no one else can access this content while you keep it locked in your guildhall.
its honestly a decision so stupid its actually hard to even imagine a scenario where a human being could think of this system and then implement it into a game.
The way I see it, you have two choices here; you can remain salty, argumentative and miserable, or you can heed some of the sage advice you're being offered here. You might also want to put in some more hours; less than 100 hrs in 7 years won't cut it in DZ.
If this was truly a survival game then it would not be possible to make it from the coast to tisy in a few hours. It should take weeks of game play to be able to begin to acquire end game content. Yet sadly that's not the case. Players have come to expect that end game content can be accessed with a water bottle, a knife, and a quick sprint to a military base. And if it's not then that's considered a bad loot system.
whats your point? this isnt a "true survival game" then because it has never taken weeks to get anywhere. the survival mechanics arent hard, after you have food you will never die from anything except other players.
this is a pvp game, just accept it. if you have food how are you ever going to die? zombies are not a threat, nature is not a threat, nothing is a threat except other players after you've found a knife to skin with and a melee weapon to kill zeds with.
the game is built around pvp, doesnt matter if you want to believe this or not, it has always been the gameplay loot of dayz. find gear, engage in pvp, eventually die and start over again.
now they destroyed the first part of that loop which makes the loop pointless.
The SA sucked at release, I stuck with the mod. I started playing when there were only 3 servers up for the mod, 1 temporary test server (was only up for an hour here and there) and 2 mostly fulltime servers. This was within the very first week of the mods itself.
I got into ArmA2 modding and was part of the Wasteland and King of the Hill team, I was the first person to put up an ArmA3 screenshot on steam. I have more than enough experience of how DayZ work, SA sucked balls so why would I bother with it?
I now gave SA a try again and I see while the clunkiness is fixed and a lot of really big issues have been solved the loot economy is worse than ever before which still makes the game a mess, you have no choice but to play on modded servers if you want an acceptable experience.

tbf this numbers need some balance, i agree. why does the ump count in hoarders? there spawn 70 mosins? wow
i hope the remaining weapons counting in hoarders (akm, ak101, ak74, m4) will be set free in future updates.
It's possible to make this game into either yours or my view of the game. It all exists in the community servers.
the changes in 1.09 from what i understand with not counting stashes only apply to heli crashsites, not normal loot spots.
Wow I didn't know there were that many.
Have to say, I have been using a silenced Deagle a lot and I love this gun, single shot infected disposing pistol is a great addition to the game. I seem to find them everywhere too and no doubt with that many on a server
ok again, now the other way:
what DOES count in hoarders in 1.09:
AK101 (5)
AK74 (10)
AKM (10)
AK Suppressor (5)
Beartrap (10)
Landmine (10)
M4A1 (10)
M4 Suppressor (5)
UMP (20)
+ the alice bags and tents
EVERYTHING else DOES NOT COUNT in hoarders (see list in previous post)
