Namalsk frostbite system
I thought this system was really cool until my long lived character had his health capped at 50% of default. It just wouldn't regenerate past the yellow point no matter what I did. My frost resistance was almost maxed from living so long though. Can anyone explain their experience with this system or how they think it works because I cannot find any detailed information.

With only 50% health as max, I got knocked over by a few zombies and that was the end of it.

frostbite is permanent. my hands got frostbite and i only regain 80% of my health. i got it from frozen gloves i believe + i ran quite long without any gloves as freshie.

Did anyone tried out to put the frost clothes in a bonfire for a second? Maybe this will remove the "frost" but I fear about loosing my clothes if it does not work. : S

you can drop clothes beside a fire to dry them out. Anything you put into a fire's storage slot will be burned and disappear.

I experienced this today, but until I read this post I hadn´t realized what had happend. My health would simply not fully recover. I thougt it´s a bug :steamfacepalm: Well, my trip far out into the ice to some POI took its toll. Cool feature!

It makes my character seem very battle worn and experienced but when it gets to 50% max health it feels very punishing. I had done some swimming to visit the glaciers and an island so that's probably why. It was cool at -25% max health but -50% made me die very easily.

I didn't get a picture of my 50% health cap, but the only indicator is that your health will stop regenerating at some point like in this picture. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2311483626

Learned from Smoke's stream a couple of days ago that your clothing items in the inventory slots will get a white background if that appendage has frostbite. Have to take care of your clothing by throwing it on the ground at a fire to dry out when it's wet. The longer you wear wet clothing the chance of frostbite grows. Frostbite can not be undone once it's set in on the current character.

On the same note is it possible to make a fire on the ice pack/snow?

I'm planning on a trip on the pack and holding onto my drysack like a treasure.
