Modded server similar to Dayz Classic?

Hello everybody.
I have seen a couple of videos about the old days of Arma II Dayz mod and i was astonished to see how many features it could count. Also, informing myself about the main "branch" which the mods used to be divided into i have seen that that most played were the Dayz Classic and Dayz Base buildings mod packs.
Even the first one had a lot more features than the current "Vanilla" one. Being able to build armored vehicles, elycopters, more complex bases, IA bandits and randomized events taking place into the map.
That being said, i was wondering where and if i can find something similar to the old mod packs in a current community server.

You wont find anything on the community servers. Now, as a huge fan of OLD dz,I can tell you they are close. ( the modders) and in some way much better. Vehicles still hacve not caught up in SA. But to be fair, vehicles "vanilla" suck. They are laggy and know where near the variety. It is getting there tho.

Now things like Guns and base building IMO has caught up. and in some ways surpassed old DZ. One thing I have been waiting for is AI missions. This to me was the best and kept me playing old dayz for 2 years past the SA launch. It is coming.. when... not sure.

In some ways, this game is better, but only because of the mods and the people who make them. I personally do not see needing to go back, There is plenty of great servers that are modded and have lots of guns, vehicles and base building. If you are looking for a Classic type DZ you will not find an exact match but you can come pretty close.

Mmmm. I see, so there isn't any modded server like the old classic ones? Which one do you play in? I'm playing official right now, and it's ok, but somewhat boring.
