Close range shot to the chest knocked him out instantly.
I then found a Vaiga automatic shotgun and filled it with....to the max...don't remember the mag capacity....
Buried it and 3 mags Id found. Was gonna go FULL OUT RUBBER SLUG on someone, sometime.
Came back and the stash is gone man, or I'm going insane.
How could someone have found it?
Full auto rubber slugs would have been so fun....
I honestly didn't expect this much grief over losing this stash.
I mean, if someone found this stash how did they miss the 3 stick shelters 50 feet away?
Am I going nuts?
Why can't I find my Vaiga?
Do stashes sometimes despawn?
----------------------------------------------------
I really think rubber slugs are THE ANSWER for the player who doesn't want to KOS everyone, but also doesn't want to take chances, or maybe up for a bit of PVP.
Right?
Stashes to despawn if not touched in.... a week i believe it is... or around there.
I'm a fan of Shared Stashing. It works like this:
1. Someone makes a stash
2. I discover it, but touch nothing
3. Stash becomes "ripe" for picking
4. I take anything I need
I have played on this patch for less than a day, and I have already found 4 major stashes.
Yeah i've been thinking the same, in theory rubber slugs are pretty cool. But its a risk due to their very short range and the probabilty that you wont knock out your enemy with one hit due to armor or bad hit. Also the time to break out of restraint is too short in my opinion. It should be like 5 minutes IRL time, at least. That would make knocking someone out and restraining worth it. And you have to be able to restrain legs too, because when you knock someone out and restrain that person, you really dont have much time to loot the person, because very soon he regains consciousness and starts running away and if you didnt manage to quickly strip everything off of him you he can get away with some of his loot.
On the other hand, it kinda bothers me how unrealistic this knockout with a rubber slug mechanic is. I mean it will probably make you flinch in pain and you probably wont be as alert and straight thinking after getting hit with one and would probably be in serious pain but the chances that you will lose consciousness completely are super slim.
