If the bug is still present from 1.02 they only last about 24hrs but not all the time, I think any other time they last for about 7 or so days
not 100% on that

You are correct, I wouldn't trust them
I'm with Comrade & Deaths on this one. I've had variable results prior to 1.08 but haven't tried it out on this update yet.

Looking at the 1.08 patch notes they stated that campfires upgraded with stones will last 2 days and stone ovens will last 7 days. Interaction will refresh them. Since I'm currently traveling in Chenarus I won't be able to test it until I find a spot to pretend I'm building a 'safe' base......hahahahahaha

stone lasts .. tripods and any pots or pans doesnt . even on a stove they will disappear, sometimes just on reset .

Decided for now its safer to just keep gas stoves in a barrel and pull one out when i need to cook. Made a cool little "cooking area" in my base with cooking equipment in the barrel and a couple wooden crates for raw/cooked food :)
