Vehicle Damage
When a vehicle is damaged beyond repair, it will despawn, right?

I was driving along and had the longest game freeze I've ever had. 6-8 seconds. When the game finally responded my car was wrapped around a tree.

Battery is still good. Radiator, Spark plug and hood are all damaged.

But I can't remove the damaged parts. This is no option to remove them. After two days, the car has not despawned which means it isn't a total write-off. All you have to do (normally) is replace the damaged parts.

But I can;t because there is no option to do so.

WHY? Cars are so rare on my server and it wasn't my fault anyway.

How are you trying to remove the damaged items? I noticed that I have to look at those engine items (Not in HUD) to have any options at all. In my case Pristine engine items did not show up when I hit Tab - they required looking at the item.

Just by pointing at the item and waiting for it to say Remove (or Attach if you are adding it) More times than not when you click TAB, most of those entries have a cross in the symbol and you can't add/remove then that way. Only way is to point at it. However, another car has spawned-in (to my surprise) so perhaps it really is damaged beyond repair.

just drag and drop from your hands the new part over the ruined one

When I was looking via the HUD/inventory the engine components did not even show. I had to stand and 'look' at the parts directly. This is definitely different than it has been.

LOL, not with a Sarka apparently. The engine's in the rear but opening the back hood/trunk/lid/etc. doesn't bring up the engine components in the HUD. Opening the front hood does though. When I first looked at it I started in the back and didn't test it from the front end. DayZ logic.....
