Windows Game Bar Microphone Privacy Settings
Hi Guys,
I really don't know where else to ask this. I want to use the Xbox Game Bar in WIndows 10 to record me playing DayZ while also recording my microphone. This should be simple.

Run DayZ.
Hit WindowsKey+G to open Xbox Game Bar.
Press Record.
Toggle the "Record my microphone" to On.

When I click the toggle to record my microphone, Windows throws up an error saying that I have to enable my microphone for "this app" in my privacy settings. It takes me to the windows microphone privacy settings.
I have enabled microphone usage for every relevant app in that list. There's no DayZ in there. There's no way to include DayZ in there. There's no Xbox Game Bar in there. There's no way to include Xbox Game Bar in there.
So what do you do? There's is literally only one youtube video explaining how to combat this problem, with all the morons in the comments section shouting "Update Windows and you'll see Xbox Game Bar!" Windows IS SELF-UPDATING!! That doesn't make any sense!

Is anyone recording their games with Xbox Game Bar? How do you fix this?

Start, settings, privacy, microphone, xbox game bar (TICK ON) allow desktop apps, Dayz (TICK ON)
Good Luck!

Edit: Also think you need Windows 10 1909 upwards! So check Windows Version!

Also check whether your microphone exists by going to the start menu > Device Manager. If you've got function keys that can turn it off that's worth checking too.

Right, there's my confusion - there's quality updates and there's feature updates. I'm up-to-date with the automatic quality updates, but when it comes to feature updates, I'm still in Windows 10 1809.

Making the leap to 1909 could cause problems. I'm not sure if it's worth it.

I get where you're coming from for sure. 1909 has been stable for a while now, but 2004 is apparently buggy as hell.

1909 is Stable enough for business so good enough for home, 2004 is NOT recommended for Business so do not use it for home yet! (how I work it out for my PC)
Good Luck!

I've upgraded to 2004 as this is a personal computer. All my apps are working fine and the microphone works with the game bar now, so fixed!
