what are they good for if you cannot pitch them anywhere?

I havent had any issues placing med tents. Large tents on the other hand....... Must be on 100% flat land. and even that doesnt work all the time.

But yeah so far ive had a easy enough time placing med tents. Maybe just me tho.

Yeah I should said anywhere safe, on a concrete street its possible but whats the point to store stuff there? I mean it doesn't gonna last long... and the moment you get on the woods even if the floor looks flat and smooth no... it just doesn't let you to pitch it anywhere, not even on top of flat rocks, its really annoying...

Flat surfaces they go on, we had 8 of them on top of this mountain with tons of trees around. They just won't go on non flat surfaces. Or join a modded server that has BUILD ANYWHERE and you can build anywhere you please.

Would love to know what mountain is that but for obvious reasons you're not going to tell me. I spent an hour roaming the woods with my fancy tent in my hands and I found not a single spot to pitch it. I agree that pitching it on a 60° slope its silly and should not be allowed but this system where if the terrain its 0.00001% off being completely flat you're not allowed to place it there its as silly as allowing tents on a 60° slope...

It pretty hard for sure but there are flat areas in the forest. pretty sure its best not to even mess with tents at the moment.
