Can i have multiple characters? From a noob

On the main menu, I can cycle between my character and a character who has no stats. Does this other character I can select count as an option for a new character, without deleting my current character? Thanks a lot.

On Official you have one character who can travel between servers and Chernarus and Livonia.
You have one character for each Community server

You can have 2 different characters on official servers. One on First person (hardcore) and one on third person servers. If there are Experimental official servers active you can have 2 more different characters available also.

Private (community) servers are handled differently and each server you join will be a special character that will be stuck on that server only.


Tip: if you are in the menu with your character picture and you want to play that character just select the big PLAY button and the game will automatically take that character to the last session you played him/her on and in the same location you logged out in.

Am I late?
Don't forget that experimental servers are temporary, and if you leave your char there it will stay in purgatory forever. You can see the char in the main menu, in all it's glory but you won' t be able to play it once the server is removed. You can move it though, by just choosing a diff server maybe.

Not sure if you can leave that "hive" of servers
