Can't light a campfire.

I got sticks i got rags,(also tried tree bark) why the heck this ♥♥♥♥ doesen't want to get lit, nor in the fireplace nor on the floor.
Have they changed the way fire works?

you can't make fire on the floor inside (most) buildings anymore but the fireplace should work.

Both the fire drill and the matches work 100%, and the fireplace should have ample supply of small sticks, rags and or bark and a log or two. I have noticed that you can only light the fire from a specific position around the fireplace, so be prepared to move around until you find the command to light. I placed a fireplace inside an oven in a house and had to move around a bit until I got the prompt.

So i still should be able to light campfire with one rag and one stick?

The basics yes...One stick + One paper/rag and you have the fireplace and it should light. One stick wont last put at least 5 and keep tossing them in and you can cook and such for a bit.

is there a limit for how many times you can light a campfire? Because I have everything set up and it still not lighting up, I don't know if windy conditions play a role in whether a fire can be started but I tried every item that you can use to start a fire and not a single one has worked.

If you're trying to light with matches; they won't work if they're damp.
