I really enjoyed Dead Island and Dead Island 2. Dying light is good, I also really enjoyed all the COD zombies which can be played solo (the easter egg searching is incredible)

There's no Dead Island 2 yet, I think you mean Riptide.

7days to die is not bad in SP mode. But it does have a pretty neat MMO side.
If you dont mind side down view Project Zomboid is a good game with lots of crafting etc. Has a Co Op available.
Older but fun is State of Decay It is a console port, but fun.
For pure survival minus zombies etc, I think The Long Dark is about the best around.

Go for State of Decay. But i would wait till its on sale , mabey a halloween sale if steam even has that.

I think I'll go ahead and get State of Decay, I've been watching reviews on YouTube and it reminds me a lot of The Walking Dead.

I played original port version, thinking it would be time kill. But the FreeMode makes it. Plus the ability to switch between characters. Feel like playing one til' they die? Cool. Feel like swapping around. Cool. The only real limiter on it at the time was the lack of free building, but it was after all console. But on the revers, I never liked any of the Dead Isles.
