V3s won't move uphill, weird gear problem
Hey

So I got a v3s recently and the thing is I was driving it fine but now there is a regular road not even dirt, it is asphalt so I stopped on this road to see the map and now I can't go faster than 7 miles (1st gear) when I change to 2nd gear from max speed of 1st gear with tubo (7-8 miles) it just stops. I don't understand what to do. There is no way I can climb this hill with 7 miles an hour ... please someone help

Yes. I reach to 7 miles which is max for 1st gear and press e and change to 2 and it just stops.

Regardless of tyre quality you cannot go past first gear when on a hill, you need a runup. It's an old truck mate. You're just lucky you didn't play last build. Trucks literally required a good 150 metres runup or they couldn't climb almost any incline. Players were getting their trucks stuck in areas that were dips, like to the right of Myshiko tents.

If you're trying to argue that the v3s should be able to climb hills in higher than first, that just isn't true. You need a runup. In the future either don't stop on hills or be prepared to use first gear until you're on level ground.

In real life yes even the oldest car can climb a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hill, + I managed to figure it out myself now I can climb hills after stopping in the middle of them :) so ty for hmm nothing ?:steamfacepalm:

First, could you tell us how you managed to do that? It shouldn't be possible. The only thing you can do is use W and shift to move forward, and if that doesn't work, nothing will.

Second, drop the ♥♥♥♥♥ attitude. No one was rude to you, so you won't be rude to us.

Third, no. A truck as old as the Praga V3S cannot climb steep hills if it's starting on them. higher gear = less power, lower gear = more power. You need to stay in first to climb the hill, unless, like you've been told, you get a runup and don't stop. We're not talking about modern vehicles here.

Us, no no no just to you lol. Reason ? I just don't like people who say something that's actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and there is a way to do it and they just say nope imposible go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.

About doing it the only thing I can tell to you is timing between your gear change :) It is so easy you can go up to 4th gear on a hill. I would show it with a video but just died from bleeding lmao. Next time gonna find a knife or something before doing anything.

My only two posts before you got that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ attitude. No where in either post am I even slightly rude and I definitely didn't tell you to go ♥♥♥♥ yourself, yet, not even indirectly. If I wanted to tell you to go ♥♥♥♥ yourself I would literally, word for word tell you to go ♥♥♥♥ yourself. I don't mess around with indirect insults.

If you don't stop on a hill you can go in any gear and still maintain a nice speed. But whilst on the hill it shouldn't be possible to go above that. I tried myself with a V3S cargo I found about a week ago now, If I went above first whilst on a hill without a runup it would start rolling backwards slowly, regardless if when I switched gears. IRL so long as it wasn't a very light hill, I think you'd find the Praga V3S would also be unable to switch up gears if it started on a hill.
So what i'm asking is, by getting to fourth do you mean you got even a little runup before meeting the incline? Because actually moving up gears on a hill sounds a bit off. I can test myself later again but I don't see it working.
