Resolution stuck at 1920x1080
So, I have an Odyssey notebook (i5 7300HQ, 8 gb RAM, gtx 1050) and in order to play with 60 fps I need to set my resolution at 1600x900. My problem is that I can't change my ingame resolution, it keeps at 1920x1080 no matter what I do. I already tried:

1) edit settings in the cfg file;
2) change resolution through GeForce Experience;
3) change windows resolution;
4) launch the game with -w 1600 -h900 parameters;
5) reinstalling the game.

I know there are many posts about this on google, but they are too old (2014, 2015) and a lot of things have changed, including some lines of the .cfg file.

Thanks.

Try editing the cfg file, and then making it a read-only file in the properties.

if it keeps changing.... how do you know 1600x900 gives you 60FPS ?? is this a guess or has it worked before?

It worked before, about 2 or 3 months ago. I returned playing last tuesday, and then it all started.

WindowWidth=1600;
WindowHeight=900;
Windowed=1;

yes it will be windowed but might work!?
Good Luck!

Mods problem this is.
If you played moded servers you can have problem like this cos mods messing around with config dayz file.
The best solution is to uninstal dayz and manually remove dayz folder from steam and my documents..

I haven't thought about this, you might be right. I will try to completelly uninstall my game and mods, then reinstall the vanilla game, configure my video settings, then set the CFG and others to "read only" and finally download the mods.

Edit 1: Didn't work :(

nothing people said here will work.

the only solution is to set your desktop resolution to what you want in game, as the game follows the sme resolution your desktop is in.

put desktop at 1600x900, start the game, done.

I've already tried, bro. Doing this just makes the game run "with zoom", since the rendering resolution remains 1920x1080.

In game video settings..
Set resolution as desktop and mark full screen.
If it still window mode just press left alt + enter..

But the best solution for ya will be to get on ebay second hand 24 inch lcd monitor for 50$ with 1600/900 res. Plug laptop to it..
