NO FOOD OR WATER

idk about you guys but this game is unplayable to me. ether im getting unlucky or something. But i CANNOT find food anywhere. water i can find, barely. food on the other hand, its like it doesnt exist. ive checked boats on the sand, killed zombie (found food but barely enough) like i find more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ guns in a house then i do food or water itself. wheres the logic in that? youd think youd find all this ♥♥♥♥ in a kitchen but NOOOOO. i cant even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loot other ♥♥♥♥ without spending hours looking for food and water. i play alot of survival games including the forest, unturned, mist survival, raft, stranded deep, 7 days to die. and its neven been this hard to find food or water. im a new player so maybe im missing something? someone correct me.

if u struggle to find food, kill an animal, cook it, eat it. or go fishing.
u just need a knife (or 2 stones to craft one).

If you can find a knife you can survive, at the start chickens are a life saver. Just remember to wash hands after you kill the chicken(s). I really should have an answer ready to paste as I have said the same thing over and over as this is common issue for newer players (including myself when I started).

Long story short, find a knife, kill chickens, learn to make a basic fire and chook chickens. Store meat in your clothing to keep you warm, continue looting but don't sprint everywhere as you will use a lot more energy so will get hungry and thirsty fast.

Once you learn how to get the most out of knives, which are very common items to find, then your survival will become significantly easier

After spawn..
Find knife or hatchet, axe, fireaxe.
Pick up all jackets, pans etc to make rags, 6 + 6 = improvised rope.
Combine rope with long stick (use your hands to get one from small trees or bushes) to make improvised fishing rod.
Now you need bones to make fishing hook. Kill chicken - you can locate them by sound they make in every town and village.
Run around untill you hear it..
Or locate caw or sheep or goats by the sound they make.
You can hear them from long distance.
Find it. Kill it. Skinn it (only with knife or improvised knife made of two small stones..)
Now you have meat and bones.
Using knife make fishing hook from bones. Allways make 2 or 3.
Now hold a knife in your hands and look on the ground, move around untill you get option to dig out worms.
Dig out 2 or 3.
Combine worm with fishing hook to get fishing bait..
Put it on fishing rod and now you can go fishing.
If you canot find knife.
Try to find small stones on dirt roads or small walking trails inside forests.
Combine 2 of them and you will get improvised knife..
Or using pickaxe if you can find it, mine large stones from any small rock sticking out from ground. Then drag large stone on pickaxe to make small stones (2) then make knife.

Haha nah you're all good man. I can only speak for myself but I get annoyed when people just post 'I can't find food, game sucks' rather than asking what am I doing wrong or am I missing something here as you did.

This is a very unforgiving game to start with but once you get the idea there are many ways to get yourself set up to survive, so take your pick

To get water go inside any vilage and find water pomp (well) drink untill your hydration icon get full and a bit more.
Find a bottle or water cantine or coocking pot.
Take it to your hands aim on the ground, option to empty it will appear.

Empty it cos what's inside is dirty and will kill you.
Then fill it up with clean water from well.. then you can have it with you when travell.

After getting some meat or fish remember to cook it.
If you eat raw meat you will get sick and by by.
If you have matches make fire place from 1 rag or paper or bandage and one stick.
If no matches then knife to your hands aim it on any big tree (close distance) and cut bark off.
Combine it with small stick (make it from small bushes)
Option will appear.. pres left mouse buton to get another option. Make improvised fire kit or something like that..
Do it.
Now you can use it like matches to start camp fire.
Now. Make long stick from bushes again.
Put meat or fish on it, aim on fireplace and cook it untill it will change color.
Bon apetite..

I feel like you need to walk on the trails and railroad tracks for stones. If you run they can't spawn.

There is fruit under fruit trees and all mushrooms in the forest are edible in Official servers, but private servers are turning the spawns down or off. You might join a random server with no fruit, you always need a knife.

Also walk to let the fruit spawn.
