How do you get water?

I have the whole hunting and cooking food thing down but I still don't know how to get a somewhat easy source of water or other fluid for hydration.

Any tips?

In town/city wells.

wells. only resource for clean water and they are in every village. u could also find chlorine tabs and purify any water u got from different sources like ponds.
u can cook food without water if u just put fat in a cooking pot with the meat together..

If you are more of a wilderness kind of guy you can cook water in a pot to make it safe to drink.

A lot of this stuff seems like basic and obvious but going in blind is quite the learning curve.

There aren't too many games out there that let you do stuff that actually makes sense like this game.

on a side note i think "most" but not all towns have a water pump
i'd say if you manage to find charcoal tablets you could be able to gather from a pond or some other unpurified water and purify them
but yeah you can also use a pot like the other guy stated too
it's funny how much longer you'll live once you start remembering where pumps and orchards are
