Best base locations?

Ok, so im one of those players who enjoys collecting loot and stashing it at my base so i have something to work towards and i know where to get gear again when i die, but i have one problem, i rly haven't found a great base location. I used to have one with my friend, it never got found before this patch but the area that we used is now changed and pretty bad (tested it after the patch and our tents got found quickly). So im asking you community now for good base locations if you are willing to share em with me.

For barrels, I have found that having your base inside a building is best. There are several types of buildings that are rarely entered by players. Sometimes right in the middle of a city!

For tents, IMO there is no best place. The map has been well designed in this respect. There's basically no place on the map that isn't either regularly visited by travellers, infested with wolves, or both. Tents are also really easy to see from a distance.

Of course, before this patch barrels inside pine trees were best. Not any more! However, if you really scour the map you might find 3 pine trees close together which gives a decent amount of visual cover. This is pretty rare though.

I think as long Cheaters can find any Base they want on the Map, there is no place with high chance of people not comming across it. Specialy if you stack up Mil Gear, Cheaters are specialy griefing those Camps. Be glad they started the fight against those Elements and continue to do so.

For now, make more smaler stashes and just put a few guns inside, more guns equals more fun when griefing for them.

In the past by ultra speed flying high above the Map.
I hope 1 example is enough because the other dude is right i should not had mentioned it.

a good way is find a spot you think is good ,then jump across a few other servers to see if anyone else has one there if not your good for a while but people will find it eventually.found 2 bsaes today. try find a low trafficed erea. also a decoy near by sometimes helps

I have had good luck stashing barrels along walls in clusters of trees or bushes. Just find some place out of the way. I had one barrel survive weeks behind vybor military base.

There is this little hill north of Vybor. My buddy and I have named it " Tent Hill " because we always find tents up there. It is the hill with the deer stand on it. Dead north of the gas station.

i had 3 tents and far as i know never found. but then they did the whipe before this patch and i havnt worked towards another yet. but i was told by few, that if u make a base do it in a low pop server and hide it well, less traveling ppl. but when i stumble across a base i speak out and then go in side n look and usally leave some loot like food or drink maybe a gun or ammo, but i put in in the slots away from the other loot .so the player sees it better

OK doods I wasn't asking for a step-by-step "how to hack" tutorial. Just information to help me deal with the threat.

So for example you said they can fly over the map, and presumably they can look down and see tents. OK, cool. So my "barrel inside a building" method will still be OK then.

Alternatively you might have said they have got some funky x-ray vision hack, so they can run through towns and see through walls. In which case my "barrel inside building" would be a bad idea.

Or they can access the code and do a search for "barrel" and "tent" in which case we'd all be screwed and we might as well stop building stashes entirely until it's fixed.

Sorry for spreding fear:
Flying got Fixed, Ultra Speed running got fixed, iam not sure but i hope player locations on screen got fixed also. So cheater should not be able to find your camps anymore.
Also Tents are only visible 200 meters or so and not for kilometers like in the past (accept you use binocolars).

I was salty and iam not sure why i brought up this bull crap from the past. i apologize.
Just build your camp.

Edit: Funky X ray vision got also fixed as far as i know or atleast if they delete the files to archieve that effect battleeye will notice and give those players a Bann.
Iam sorry iam not sure which or if there are Cheats left.
