Everything in my base despawned

How am i suppose to keep that from happening, how do i even designate an area as my base

Well i have a hard time believing i was raided when i locked my doors when i logged out, and even the worthless stuff was gone. The campfire, the hand drill and paper i left next to it, even the broken knife i was done with

So, what exactly despawned? Tents? Barrels? Items just laying on the ground?

Items, Campfire, A backpack full of loot, even the garden plot i had fertilized.

You said an official server right? Are you sure you're on the same server as before? I don't know much about garden plots but I know backpacks with items in them have a fairly lengthy, at least a day or two, maybe even more, despawn timer. Campfires don't last for very long and when you say "items", are these just random items placed on the ground or in some form of storage?

Anything that’s not in a tent, a barrel, a chest or buried inside a drybag, will despawn after a few hours. Items that can be “placed”, like generators and industrial lights will also persist. If you have a car somewhere with stuff in, that will also do. Weekly maint used to wipe my bases in the past, but then I roll back to the last save and everythings back. Presently on my server me an my crew have four bases across the map, and the oldest one has been there for two months now. By the way, last week’s server maint did not wipe our bases, so persistence is improving.
