I can't build fences! HELP, please! D:
Okey, so; I've started building a base right after the server restarted so that wouldn't encounter any issues (that didn't work that well...). I collected the materials, made the blueprints, buried the logs and put the materials in their slots.

When I pull out my hammer and the building options appear, I click on one of them and the building animation starts to play as well as the "action progression icon".

BUT THEN as soon as the icon fills itself, nothing appears. Just my two burried logs.

I've tried many different combinations (just the planks and nails, try to build and then put the metal plates for example) but nothing seems to work. All the materials remain intact after the progression icon ends.

Any help is welcomed guys.

Trees, bushes, existing structures, and other objects sometimes get in the way. It wont let you build the fence if it is going to clip into them.

Ironically, you can dig the fence posts in but it wont let you put up the wall.

Do you mean that this could happen even if it let me place the blueprint without any issues?

Correct.

What I do is leave all tree in construction area untouched. Layout fence kit, add logs, dig in posts. Then any trees/bushes next to the fence get cut down, remove logs & firewood from fence area, then it let me contruct as normal, well I say as normal...sometimes it will bug out & will construct the next item instead.

Then after restart trees are all up again & everything is fine.

A fallen old branch or the edge of a stump will stop you completing the fence as well. You may be able to build the upper frame, but not the lower. Just dig up the logs and rethink your positioning. Cutting bushes out of the way sounds like a good tip.
