abandoned game?

game is 45USD and is how many years old on steam? I've only ever heard bad things about it and the reviews say the same thing. is there any logical reason for this game being the price it is?

No, the game is still being developed but it is no longer in Early Access / Beta.
However we know nothing about the future as the developers haven't yet released a 2019 roadmap.

i keep coming back (6 years now!) to see how far dev is.Its pretty much dead,even modded servers have very few people playing , so i would never pay 45$ for it

game did seem to stall for a bit but i honestly think they are back on the right track now. much more playable on official servers then before, new exp build looks even better. Modded servers are awesome fun to play on and the creators doing the mods are putting in a lot of effort

I love DayZ, always will always have.

Since 1.0 the game is still in a buggy and unfinished state, that is just a fact.
Doesn't make it bad, it is just unfinished, since the origonal release in Dec 2013 the game has evolved and is really good.

But it is still unfinished.

With 1.0 a lot of guns were removed as they want to put them back in with their correct animations.

So this game is still needing the additional work to get it to a good standard of play.
B.I. will get there, it is just a long road for such a big project.

While I really really want to play this game, I want to play it in a more completed state rather than playing for 100 hours each patch seeing what is new, large or small.

Sadly life takes over, I have IRL stuff and other games to play as well as streaming these other games and I just do not have the time to spend on this any more which makes me a little sad but In a year, 2 or even three if that what it takes, the game will be done and I will be back.

But until then this is not my journey, Other games need to be played.

I know there is new and old players still here and I am looking forward to when I spend a great deal of time back in the game.

games good and getting better try some mods some are really good . dont listen to reviews if you look most negative reviews havnt even played the game that long give it a chance rome wasnt build in a day .
