How good are the SG5-K and CR-61 Skorpion

These two guns are quickly becoming my favourite guns to carry around, they're fairly light and their ammo is fairly plentiful.

So how good or viable are they, I tend to carry both on me, because again, they're fairly light to carry around compared to most other guns.

They're not hard hitting, so you'll have to hit a few times to really hurt stuff, but they're compact and ammo is common. An AK isn't great if you have no ammo eh?

So they can be used to knock out an enemy as oppose to killing them, I'm not really into killing other players, so if they can leave other players alive so I can steal some of their items but without killing them right away then to me they're pretty ideal.

I'm a close range stealth player, so SMGs are my favorite. I always end up carrying at least one SG5-K. They spawn at the coast, so I usually get one or two fast.

I like that they are easy to hide inside clothing, so you can pretend to be unarmed if you don't need that space for anything.

Better than an AK you can't hit with......ofc they are the worst option in open terrain.

I mean it's pretty much all you'll get in the game. Haven't seen a single rifle like AK or m4 for a week, so i guess it's fine

Right... I just came from a mil base that spawned ak101 ak74 2x ak74u akm saiga 2 x m4, I have to throw guns away. Look harder mate! Good luck!

tbf this is very unusual on vanilla as most of the weapons u mentioned count in hoarders.

Yes a haul like that is very unlikely on populated servers, but there should or will be something... I am the only survivor on that server.

SG5 and As a secondary and Mosin,blaze, tundra as my long gun are my most effective load outs. Mosin being my fav of the second group.

I can upload a video where I ambush a dude wearing plate carrier (with AK). I just hipfire from SG5-K and drop him dead :D
Plate carrier got ruined. And I almost died myself from his shot. (I think it was just one round)

I haven't had luck knocking out players, it usually just leaves the survivor with an open wound but they can still shoot back. I would bet a shotgun or Viaga with the rubber slugs could do this better (I pick the rubber slugs up but I've never used em). If you want their items, I say just kill em ... they will just respawn and a new Dayz life begins. For that I say get a blaze set it to a double shot and learn to hit your target on the first shot (or learn to run away and hide if that doesn't work).
