I play on PS4, my laptop isn't good enough to play DayZ.
This isn't to spark an argument, but to provide you with more knowledge.
If you're viewing a Police Station with a pair of binoculars, a scope, or what have you -- You are giving yourself tunnel vision, if you aren't you should most definitely be behind a solid piece of cover. Also, naturally humans read books from left to right. It is easy to overlook critical details doing so; the best way to avoid this is to scan from right to left instead to spot anomalies easier. As far as your plan on rushing in, I highly recommend you don't do that. When you're within ear-shot of the building the best thing to do is to drop your shoes/boots and crouch sprint so you don't make much noise whilst you enter through the back. (I recommend entering through the back as the front door puts you in such a deadly fatal funnel) Then you quickly begin to open the door, making sure to not stand in the door frame while you do so. (Shotguns and one taps to the head aren't a good time) And quickly scan through all the rooms and grab the loot that sticks out to your eye to conserve time. You should also exit the same way you entered, putting your shoes/boots back on whilst you run to your piece of cover and concealment. Upon doing so if you happen to of grabbed anything you do not desire you keep, don't bother throwing it like a grenade -- just drop it. Throwing items like you would a grenade and not having your rifle in your hand is down right complacent and asking to be caught with your pants down. Also, if you're throwing items straight up in the air it's basically a 10 meter+ beacon in the sky saying, "Here I am." Don't bog yourself down with pointless actions or extra tasks with a lackluster combat mindset, it's both a waste of time and detrimental to your survival.
- Survivor that spent majority of the early beta camping the ever living ♥♥♥♥ out of Police Stations
I appreciate your critique. Hiowever.
1. I always use cover when I'm observing a high risk location to scout it.
2. I read books and you do read them from left to right, but I also read Manga which is read from right to left.
3. I only got that far from what you wrote, because you defiantly wrote a book.
Despite the type of book you choose to read, it's not what you were force fed in school and it's not something you see in your every day life walking down the street. Still applies.
I don't. Military or bust.
Police Station or Military, they're hot spots for people looking for loot and weapons, so even if it's just Military bases how do you approach them.
This isn't asking for advice, I'm finding it interesting how other play differently to me.
I just play on the first european first person lobby I find and stick to it because I don't want to be teleported to a different location for server hopping.
