For the servers that require a client sided mod, I would suggest downloading the dayzsalauncher. You will be able to search for servers, and when you join it will automatically download and set up the needed client files.

i watched some streamers playin the snow map and it looks really nice.
unfortunately it seems they also add a ton of other mods with it (like killfeed, no stamina, weapon pack etc. - i dont want this nonsense). are there servers that offer the vanilla game just with the snow map?

you will have to search the servers as there are a few running the snow map now.
whats wrong with more weapons and kill feed?

killfeed is annoying and doesnt belong to a game like this. just my opinion.
more weapons are good ofc, but they are not ready.

fair play man. but remember modders are what made this game. its up to the modders to make it great. i feel everyone should give the snow map a go as its a real taste of good mods to come.

i know - good things gonna happen to DayZ in 2019, both, vanilla and mods.
i can wait a little more after all this time :)
