Contagious Illness Solutions

Please help me...

(Playing beta server) So, one by one ever member in a squad I run with has been infected with some sort of contagious illness.

It’s been days.. it’s so annoying!

Tetracycline, epinephrine, codeine, charcoal, morphine, alcohol, disinfectant, saline bags, blood transfusions, time, rest, various cooked foods, and lots of water have had absolutely ZERO effect.

How do I cure myself and my boys? Anyone with some knowledge here?

We know mass suicide will solve the problem. Looking for alternatives.

At the moment I can't see cures working.

But it is possibly working.
I imagine that codeine and morphine won't do anything as they are for pain.

Epinephrine is for shock levels.

Charcoal tabs are for stomach pains

Tetracycline is antibiotics, used for illnesses this may help

Alcohol for cleaning

Disinfectant for keeping things clean

Blood bags for increasing blood
And saline increase blood, sorta adrenaline.

Time and rest probably need a lot more than you think.

I listed all those things to show that I've tried everything I can think of and to demonstrate how desperate I am to find a solution. I know what all of those things do. Mostly looking for legit ideas here.

I don't know how medicine works, but I assume if you take some antibiotics and charcoal tablets at the same time the charcoal tablets would wash the antibiotics out, no? That's all I can think of, if you had a sip from the river without using any decontamination tablets, use charcoal tablets. If you are 100% sure this thing did not come from food or drink, try the antibiotics only.

As a side note I do not know if charcoal tablets are short term, if they are you will still probably end up with having to take antibiotics, if this dosen't help, get warm clothing and pray.

I know what the types of medicine in this game does in this specific game, but nothing for me is confirmed since I have only read it off of some wikipedia page a very long time ago for DayZ or ArmA, but your clarification above is very detailed and well done, thanks.

But at the end of the day I'm trying to give him the idea he wants, and I can't think of anything better than what I just described. Pop some antibiotics, keep fed and hydrated, warm clothing and praying as in waiting and seeing what happends, if you don't got the patience then I suppose a bullet to the head is the last resort.

Again, 1.0 is new, anything could have changed or been broken for all I know.

I got sick then forced my char to throw up and that solved the issue, as for contagions im not sure but two in my Sqaud got the virus icon after drinking from a well and we treated that by force feeding them purified water and antibiotics (Tetracycline), might just have been luck or buggy but im not sure it could be worth repeating as it (seemingly) cured the issue.

Also we made the infected members lie down beside a fire - not that I thought it would help just cause it looked cool af ;) lol

This happened to my friends and I too. For some reason today, i did a lot of running around Lopatino, NWAF, and Vybor for like an hour and a half. And I swear I noticed my guy stopped sneezing and coughing for awhile but it definitely came back anyway. I also ate some anti biotics I'm not sure if it helped tho

EDIT!: EDIT!: EDIT!: My sickness went away!!! I logged in and my guy was fine. So I believe it does go away eventually if you stay warm and move. Maybe the anti biotics helped. Not sure. We'll see if it comes back.

Anyone found a sure solution ? I stood by the fire for 30 minutes took 3 full codein tablets and nothing, still coughing and sneezing like a madman...

EDIT : Btw you can stop the coughing and sneezing my using an emote, F1 is the best option.

Killed myself, got back my stuff and once i got my stuff back i started coughing and sneezing again.

EDIT : Don't drink in the bottle your dead ( sick ) character drank in. My lack of common sense made me die.

Cold?
Stay away from ill people (your boys) and take care about temperature for one or two hours.
Take one or two of the pills with with the text that fits.

You will also stop coughing and sneezing if you hold LMB and if you lay on your back lol
