DayZ

Cannot Change Resolution
Decided to give DayZ another change since it's a full game, yet whenever I try to launch its stuck in 5760x1080, and it won't let me change in game. I can change any other setting but when I click to change resolution, nothing changes.

It also seems to ignore my launch commands. I've tried both setting the resolution manually with "h- and w-" and I've tried "-safe" but neither have done anything. I've also tried verifying game cache, and reinstalling. What gives? Some full release.

what do you mean only if it's not illegal?

Not quite yet. I modified my cfg so it's 1920x1080, save, close it. I launch DayZ, it launches in 5760x1080, and same issue as before. When I close and go back to my cfg file, it's reverted back to 5760x1080.

Unless you have the worlds slowest internet you could of fixed it already.

5760 x 1080 is a triple 1080p monitor setup.

no, i have a triple monitor setup. 3x 1920x1080s. I should be able to switch to 1080p and it shuts off my two side monitors and runs it in the middle

I'm well aware that works, but I don't want to have to ♥♥♥♥ around and unconfigure my nvidia surround everytime I play, ESPECIALLY since this game is "full release" after 6 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years. If they can't make it playable enough that I can easily adjust something as simple as my resolution, then the game is as ♥♥♥♥ as it's been for the past 5 years.

Disable Surround in the Nvida control panel. This game isnt "Full release" either. Seriously unchecking one box shouldnt really be the issue that your making it out to be.

Or get an utrawide and abandon that triplewide setup.

They sure advertised it than way in the Bohemia emails. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hastle to go through my task manager, close a bunch of programs, ♥♥♥♥ up my desktop layout, then do it all in reverse just to play a game that's emailing me praising the "full game" and "5 year journey to this release". They need to sort their ♥♥♥♥ out so I can actually adjust the settings. I just wanted to see if they made any progress, or if it's just as ♥♥♥♥ as it's been since the SA release, and this kind of answers my question.

EDIT: Yeah let me scrap a wicked triple monitor setup and lose money on an ultrawide to play one game.

I might have a fix for you if you have not found one yet. try launching the game, them unplug the video connection of both secondary monitors and it should reset the resolution ingame. i had just ran into this issue myself, got stuck in 3840x2160 on my dual screens and this seems to have worked for me.
