Crafting a Stone Knife...

So I tried to find info on this, I have small stones, I put one in my hands and then try to combine another. Stack of 2 stones. I read the Wiki and it says combine two small stones to craft a stone knife. Combining them simply.... combines them into one stack. I'm new to this version of the game and it's really frustrating trying to do some pretty simple tasks.

I believe the improvised knife ( stone knife ) is not craftable in the currant version.

Try dropping one on the floor and hold left click while holding the other one.

Thanks GobboKirk, worked as you'd stated.

-A little counter intuitive when combine is in the inventory, not via clicking stuff on the ground. However, for those wondering, that's how it's done.

It might work from inventory as well if you hold after, but takes a bit getting used to.

Yeah currently its a messed up number. Rationally you would only need 2 stones or so to sharpen and make a knife. At the moment its crazy how many you need!

Yeah currently its a messed up number. Rationally you would only need 2 stones or so to sharpen and make a knife. At the moment its crazy how many you need!

You only need 2, but since combining 1+1 will just stack by default you won't get the craft option when drag-and-dropping, unless you have two full stacks...

Hotbar works, as does putting one stone on the ground and having the other in your hands.
