Along time ago the devs announced that all houses are enterable..as that for the most part is 99 percent true, the bars in the houses are kind of a cop out if you ask me...maybe they could add more rooms for more loot?

Most likely a static object barrier. Meaning, there is nothing on the other side but null space.

Bars were added to the doors that were never accessible. What's more annoying, seeing bars on some doors and that you can't interact with or seeing some doors without bars that you can't interact with?

I actually forgot. They did open up some of them such as the one in the police station

They actually closed off one of the rooms in the jail on the first floor. I think all of these doors will be opened in the future, they just haven't finished modeling the rooms yet.

IMO the bars aren't needed. Regular players already know which doors a player can open & which ones they cannot & new players will figure it out soon enough.

They had to add doors to some buildings, and rooms temporarily because of the highly OP loot in those locations. They will remove the bars some time after 1.0

they're only there to destinquish between enterable rooms and non-enterable areas. It's kind of a "we didn't make anything here so like, don't try to use this door. I know it looks like the other doors but like....nothing's there. So...you don't have to worry about it."
