Mods taking up space
I recently subbed and downloaded to some dayz mods. I decided to remove them so I uninstalled and removed them from the !workshop folder. But I noticed my hard drive status didn’t change. So the mods are still taking up space in my hard drive and it’s really annoying me now that I can’t remove them.

Yeah no problem, it’s a weird situation. And yes I did unsubscribe but for some reason it still took up space.

empty your recycle bin and delete mods from your mod folder

If !workshop folder is the mod folder, then I already did that, and I also emptied my recycle bin, still no change for whatever reason.

Do you still have the files in your steam workshop directory? Pretty sure the !workshop directory uses shortcuts or symlinks or something and the files are actually located here.

Its not the mods, its your appdata. DayZ is spewing out crashlogs like a girl who drank too much white claw. You need to delete them, freed up 110gb of space on my drive.

I don't see a folder in the appdata regarding DayZ. Can you tell me exactly how you did it?

for anyone wondering because they might not see the !Workshop folder in the main game directory you need to click View on your File Explorer and then Show > Hidden Items.
