how to load guns

i have a shotgun and ammo but cant combine them

What shotgun, is it already loaded 🤔🤔

pump shotgun and it was empty i had rifled 12g shells

totaly new to dayz is there a place i can look up how to play game

Put the stack of ammo on your toolbar and with the shotgun in hand hold the relevant button to load it, after each shot press R to cycle the shells.

must be glitched then becuse thats what i was doing i cant even load the pistol i can put bullets into clip but cant put clip back in gun after loading it i have loaded out since then i might try loading back in and see if that helps

Using a different mag all together can help with the pistol, as for the shotgun not loading it could indeed be bugged but also make sure it's not ruined.

its a bk 133 and i still cant load and a box of 12ga rifled slugs the pistol is fine now after reloading

Have you unboxed the shotgun ammo, I see you said box of ammo there and not stack 🤔🤔

With the box of ammo in your hand hold ( whatever key you need to, I think default is left mouse button or F ) to unbox ammo, once done drag the ammo to a quick slot and repeate what I said above on how to load the gun.

Nope ammo comes in two forms apart from in mags, loose stacks and boxes, when you unbox ammo you drop a piece of paper ( this can be used to make a fire with sticks ).

Slightly off topic but.

On the fire front you are not limited to just matches, you can craft a Hand Drill Kit to start fires also.

With a good knife walk upto a tree and cut bark.
Take the bark and a single stick and combine them to create the hand drill kit.
You can then ignite the fire once you have the hand drill going.
