yo devs. Camera zoom

Yo can somebody explain why cant we zoom camera while sprinting in 0.63 ?
And who thought zooming in on the middle mouse button was a good idea?
is everybody else okay with these new assignements ?

I'm okay with that. Once keybindings are fully supported, you can change it to your liking.

Btw when releasing MMB in the same time as pressing Lshift, you can zoom while sprinting. But I guess this will get fixed.

Instead of telling you why you can't zoom in while running, how about you tell me why we can zoom in period? Been staring at this car outside my living room window and I can't seem to zoom in on it

Its a game dude, not real life, we could zoom before and in the arma series, we where used to that, thats why he asked...

Sprint really fast and try to focus your eyes at something in real life, then change that to jog and try to do it. Here's your answer.

They were planning to not bring back the zoom in .63 but players obviously requested it to return. I think it's a good balance of only being able to zoom when you're not sprinting.

I dont see what's wrong with it on the middle mouse button. It's literally not that far from the usual right click.

What does that have to do with anything? It's a stupid and unrealistic feature. Can you stare at something off in the distance and make it magically appear closer? It also defeats the purpose of needing binoculars

i think the zoom feature should be locked unless you are wearing eyeglasses, to simulate the "better vision"

although this basically forces the idea that every single survivor is near sighted...
