You can also press shift + LMB to do heavy attacks and stun people, but it needs more stamina.
And you can dodge with q and e while holding RMB.
And you can attack with your weapon. Just press "F" when you have a gun (f.e. Ump). I think you also have to hold RMB while doing this. Btw this feature is only possible on the test servers.
Thats the point, you can't. You are stuck in that animation in which your character get pushed back because of the smack, hence the stunlock.
I'm more concerned with the forward movement when attacking with some weapons. It makes holding your ground in a doorway - pretty damn important when fighting multiple zeds - practically impossible. One swing makes you step out in the open so they can get at your sides. I hate that bit.
Other than that I like the system, it is more involved than just spamming the same button until either party drops.
We'll just have to see what the developers and this engine are capable of but due to the console port I can see the combat taking a more arcadey route which may work well to balance the melee and shooting mechanics at the cost of realistic ranged combat
The devs did not design the system to be played without stamina. You should complain the server owners that modified the game and made the problem rather than suggest the devs were on drugs.
my biggest problem is the forwardmomentum and the fact that i cannot move while im attacking.. i really want the ability to walk while swinging in that direction i want to..
another fact that is really annoying in the newest stresstest builda are the sounds :D
when u hit a zombie its like: houu ähhhh houuhhh ähhh houhhh äähhhh... WHY DEVS :( ?
