You are wrong and must not have fired a jammed gun before. IRL if say the gun jams depending on what kind it is can play a huge factor. If the bullet jams in the barrel you can still pop another round of possibly but it will just continue to back up or take your hand off. A jammed gun is a real thing and a dangerous thing. Only a fool would keep pulling the trigger.
