One-Hit Zombies

I've never ever had this issue before, and I've been hit by dozens of zombies at various health states. Did it instantly kill you or did it knock you unconscious?

Was there any other way you could've died? I'm just puzzled because I've never seen this happen before in recent updates.

What if you were shot? One hit zombies are not a thing btw

It usually takes multiple hits from infected.
Coulda been a player taking advantage of you being distracted

I'm with these guys - a one hit zombie hasn't made an appearance for me in 1.05 and I've given about 300 of them the chance :-)
At most a little bleeding and some gear damage. What was your health level before they hit you?

well... i was a fresh-spawn and i didn´t even hear a shot and nobody was in sight.
thats all what happend and i had full life as well.

I'm pretty sure an accurate headshot doesn't make a sound to the recipient.

Yes I was about 10 minutes in on a new char and I was hitting a zombie and got insta-killed. That's another player shooting you in the head. No gun sound or anything yeah? Insta death. Some very sad individual wanted my starter pear and pink skirt obviously.

That's right, most bullets travel faster than sound, thus, since good headshot is instant kill, you won't hear anything 'cause you're dead before the sound reaches your position. And at close range this is also true for subsonic rounds.
