SKS or Mosin ?

Best rifle to snipe ?

Mosin is very powerful but require a lot of reloading. It holds 5 rounds but you have to Manually drag them each time to Combine with Mosin. Also after every shot you'll need to press R.

SKS to my knowledge uses the same scope but holds 10 rounds that you can get a snap loader for and doesn't require pressing R to pull back the bolt.

You manage a one shot kill to the body with a Mosin. WIth an SKS its unlikely and you'll need to land 2-4 hits to the body to bring someone down. Headshot with any weapon insta-kills unless they are wearing a decent helmet that can bounce a bullet back but will most likely result in a KO.

Personally I prefer the SKS but the Mosin is very, very powerful. Mosin is best for shooting a still target at long range or a moving target at medium range. Mosin is great overall but is a little trickier to land long shots.

mosin and M70, add a munition stack to your hot bar for easy reloading ( with the weapon in hand just hold the relevant key to start loading the rifle and will load more than one round a go ).

SKS uses 762x39 if i recall correctly so anything over 200-300m you have some drop off compared to the mosin that is a 762x54 or the M70 using .308.

For true sniper you want something that doesn't drop as much as the SKS ( 762x39 ) and at least with the mosin you can put the Sawed-off Mosin within a backpack / vest allowing for carrying of another primary such as M4, AK or whatever.

keep an eye out for the LAR(.308), with an atog scope it's impressive as well.

SVD is the classic sniper rifle, M70 has the better scope, though.

OP 7.62x54R is more powerful than 7.62x39 but latter is still better than nothing. But why do you want to stay far away like a ♥♥♥♥♥ and not fight players face to face like a man?

The CR-527 and M70 will give better optical range over the mosin and SKS as both the CR-527 and M70 are compatible with the hunting scope having a variable zoom over the fixed 3.5x magnification of the PU scope.
So for that true long range sniper shot maybe they would more suit your style, The CR-527 also has 5 round mags making reloads a much quicker process but sadly is still 7.62x39 having the same drop off problem as other 7.62x39 rifles like the SKS.

If I had to choose; SKS - it has a 10 round mag and is semi auto, the bolt action of the Mosin takes you off target for a second, which is not the case with SKS. In close quarters the Mosin is useless, while SKS can still give you a chance to get the upper hand. Anyway, once you have VSD with PSO-1 and your mission is to camp and KOS, it stands alone, for me it's the ultimate weapon in this game.

Where have you guys found the M70? i havnt found it yet. Is it a civilian spawn or military? Its just what i need for long range shots, as the mosin scope sucks and 7.62 is terrible at range.
