Difference between DayZ and DayZ Standalone
I'm new to the game, and I am wondering what, if any, the differences are?

DayZ is the series. DayZ standalone (commonly refered to as "DayZ") is the standalone-game version of the mod made for arma 2 called "DayZ Mod"

Nica does dayz support physx i ask because i crash every time particle effects play

DayZ is the standalone successor to the ArmA 2: DayZ mod. Gameplay loop is pretty much the same and there's still some assets from ArmA 2 days but that's about where the similarities end.

Dayz is the modded version on arma 2. It is what started them to make dayz standalone.
