controls not working

I hop into a server, and i move my mouse and everything, press every button even ESC, mouse doesnt even move players looking direction.

Keybinds are somewhat broken among many other things, you have to map keys on the right side for which i'm assuming is gamepad. It doesn't always work so you have to try it a few times. That'll be 44.99, thank you very much.

I just freshly installed the game after not having touched it in a long time. I spawned and couldn't move. I opened the keybindings menu, but only one entry was visible in all tabs, nothing else. I couldn't scroll to reach any other binding entries, nothing. Then I was kicked off the server because of some alleged modified 3D asset (some tree or plant - but I never modded anything and this was a fresh install, downloaded today). This garbage fire is broken beyond belief. I normally cut devs more slack than others, because I know how hard making games is, but this is simply inexcusable. I haven't played this game in years, because every time I come back on different updates I immediately hit gamebreaking bugs. This thing is so broken, I have never seen anything like this. It is more broken than the Arma2 dayz mod was, and that too at its time was the buggiest thing I've ever played. Blows my mind... uninstalling again

Use the hecking steam search function. This question has been answered more times than i can count.

1. Verify DayZ game cache (data files) using steam
2. Delete DayZ folder in your documents
3. Make sure discord overlay is not enabled
