Splitting axe
So...I cut down two trees with my splitting axe and now it's damaged. Anyone else thinks this needs fixing. I mean, I've been splitting logs for over 30 years with the same axe. Still sharp, not damaged. So right now, the game needs to be a little more realistic when it comes to the splitting axe (especially considering the whole base building right now needs like 40 axes to finish).

Can I get a hell yeah?

Correct, similar stuff needs balancing. Clothing gets damaged within a few hits, surpressor that gets ruined with one mag... Hopefully we see some balancing in this area soon.

ah side from the frozen butter life of some weapons and other things in the game. The game needs more real spec's on the value of the life a object can with stand based on the use and purpose the object retains. I used a splitting axe in real life for fire wood broke it to the point of being ruined and I fixed it more than once the handle just got shorter, in the end I had about a winter year of fire wood just over 2 cords of fire wood, I had more fun sawing trees down and splitting the wood than playing this game and had something to show for it.

Yea , and I am shore duck tape will fix the transistors on your GPU after you fry them by over clocking your GPU by playing this game. Please do not try it, it don't work.

You mean like how pliers get damaged when working with a couple wires but in real life a pair of pliers last 100+ years? i agree not everything should break down and become damaged

Have you ever cut down a tree with a splitting axe? That's a good whole day project and will 100% ♥♥♥♥ up your axe or 2.

I have cut down trees and it didn't cost me a day (about an hour on avarage) and my axe was fine.

But people actually fixed their GPU by putting it in an oven.

That splitting axe must have been made from recycled aluminium cans. I have seen the handles on shovels and spades break but that's mostly after years of use and not from digging a few holes for poles.

Its a game.
There is eventually gona be a mod that removes wear and tear on items and on top of that, its post apocalyptia where the items are not in 100% condition.
Pristine means its in a USABLE condition, not the perfect condition.

Shovels are good point, but splitting axes are not made to fell trees. You will dull the axe or even break the handle, and make very little progress. Go out there and start whacking at a tall pine.

do splitting axes not give wooden logs (for building) now? I'm only getting firewood and sticks, cut the same trees with a hatchet and get wooden logs and firewood. have they changed the splitting axe?
